Sleep with this Canvas is an exploration of human connection, focusing on trust, care, and love. The project began with the artist (me) sleeping with the canvas, personally caring for it overnight. The canvas was then entrusted to a close friend, who slept with it for one night and documented the experience with photos. The friend passed it on to someone in their close circle, repeating the process over two weeks. Each participant added their own layer of connection, creating a chain of trusted friends and families linked only by the act of sleeping with the same object. After 14 days, I retrieved the canvas, now carrying the collective affection and trust of all who interacted with it, visible through some marks and a peculiar scent. The project was documented with photos, creating a visual diary of the canvas' journey. Sleep with this Canvas aimed to create a sense of indirect yet profound connection, exploring the power of trust, care, and love in human relationships.
