Anna Floto is a British multidisciplinary artist based in Barcelona. She is a co-founder, director, and curator of 200cent gallery and creative space in Barcelona that hosts exhibitions featuring both local and international artists. She has previously resided in London and Edinburgh, where she studied and practiced architecture. Currently, she is completing her diploma at Metáfora Studio Arts School. Her work has been exhibited in several Barcelona galleries, including casaespacio, Mutuo, 200cent, Espai Souvenir, and Say Something Gallery.Her artistic practice spans various mediums and is united by her deep connection to community and everyday human experiences. recently she has been inspired by the art movement relational aesthetics she has been working on breaking down the boundary of elitist white cube galleries by involving the general public within art pieces. Her work also takes forms in oil paintings- inspired by her surroundings. Recently she has begun to incorporate poems in catalan- a language she is learning while working at her hospitality job in Barcelona. Other forms of her work include tattooing , where she explores the architecture of the human body and its relationship with other natural forms and modernism architecture. Anna finds inspiration in absorbing and interpreting moments and social interactions and connections which drive her creative process. Collaborating with a diverse range of international artists informs both her work and artistic discourse.
